With Peakboard Edge & Peakboard Enterprise data can be communicated directly and in real-time via external devices - even without a touch screen!
With Peakboard Edge in combination with Peakboard Enterprise, problems and alarms can be communicated more efficiently in the manual production environment. This simplifies the communication between production staff and shift supervisors, shortens response times and thus enables the error to be rectified as quickly as possible.
What is Peakboard Edge?
Peakboard Edge can directly input and output information via external devices. Peakboard Edge does not communicate via a display but is always connected to a Peakboard Enterprise Box. Input information, e.g. via switches, push buttons, barcode scanners, RFID readers or light barriers are directly transferred to the Peakboard Box via Peakboard Edge and processed there. Output information in turn is sent from the Peakboard Box to Peakboard Edge and output e.g. via signal lights or sound boxes. The use of Peakboard Edge significantly reduces the data processing and transmission time (latency) and makes visualization more flexible. The data flow takes place via LAN or WLAN. All information about Peakboard and Peakboard Edge is available at www.peakboard.com.
Further possible applications
- Production: A button connected to Peakboard Edge is used to communicate fault messages at the manual workstation directly to the shift supervisor.
- Logistics: Signal lights connected to Peakboard Edge are attached to the factory gates. When a truck arrives at the gate, the Peakboard Box takes the information about the respective gate availability from the logistics system and passes it on to Peakboard Edge. Peakboard Edge displays the availability via the signal light.
- Logistics: The warehouse employee scans the EAN code on a package with an EAN code scanner connected to Peakboard Edge. Peakboard Edge sends the information to the Peakboard Enterprise Box, which displays the corresponding pallet location on the screen.
