As a leading provider of MES solutions, MPDV is committed to relevant trade associations to further spread the MES philosophy.

VDI – Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (Association of German Engineers): The VDI standard 5600 defines the tasks of an integrated MES solution. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Kletti, managing director of MPDV Mikrolab GmbH, is founding member and chairman of the VDI Expert Committee 140 "Manufacturing Execution Systems“. Additionally, MPDV is committed to VDI GMA Expert Committee 7.21 "Industry 4.0“ to define terminology and establish reference models and architectural concepts for Integrated Industry.

MES D.A.CH Verband: As a founding member Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Kletti, managing director of MPDV Mikrolab GmbH, held the position as the first chairman of the association for 5 years. The association focuses on the requirements of the German-speaking DACH region in particular. By means of MES D.A.CH, MPDV also promotes the universal machine connection UMCM (Universal Machine Connectivity for MES).

VDMA – Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau (German Engineering Association): Relevant to MPDV is the VDMA Association Software. With the VDMA standard sheet 66412 VDMA defines important standards for KPIs used in an MES. These standards are also included in ISO 22400-2.

MESA – Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association: As the first European member of MESA International, MPDV represents the interests of the German-speaking manufacturing industry in the mainly American driven MESA.




AIM-D the regional chapter of AIM, the international trade association and worldwide authority on automatic identification, data collection and networking in a mobile environment, covering the DACH region. AIM supports the development and use of Automatic Identification technologies: part marking, identification and automatic data collection using barcodes, 2D codes, RFID, NFC, sensors and RTLs. Those are also used in the production environment and thus are relevant to MPDV.



The main aim of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), formerly known as the Singapore Manufacturers' Association, is to champion the Singapore manufacturing sector. They represent the interest of the Singapore manufacturing community in order to drive its competitiveness and sustainable growth through serving industry-specific needs.

SIRIM Berhad is recognised the world over as a global research and standards development organisation. It is focused on discovering and developing new technologies to help Malaysian small and medium businesses to compete better through quality and innovation and to improve in the manufacturing, technology and services sectors. SIRIM is one of the nine founding members of the Global Research Alliance (GRA). Besides, it is also the secretariat of the World Association of Industrial and Technological Organisations (WAITRO).
