MPDV in Trade Associations

As a leading provider of MES solutions, MPDV is committed to relevant trade associations to further spread the MES philosophy.

 

VDI – Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (Association of German Engineers)

The VDI standard 5600 defines the tasks of an integrated MES solution. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Kletti, managing director of MPDV Mikrolab GmbH, is founding member and chairman of the VDI Expert Committee 140 "Manufacturing Execution Systems“. Additionally, MPDV is committed to expert committees to define terminology and establish reference models and architectural concepts for Industry 4.0.

 

MES D.A.CH Verband

As a founding member Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Kletti, managing director of MPDV Mikrolab GmbH, held the position as the first chairman of the association for 5 years. The association focuses on the requirements of the German-speaking DACH region in particular.

 

VDMA – Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau (German Engineering Association)

Relevant to MPDV is the VDMA Association Software. With the VDMA standard sheet 66412 VDMA defines important standards for KPIs used in an MES. These standards are also included in ISO 22400-2.

 

MESA – Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association

As the first European member of MESA International, MPDV represents the interests of the German-speaking manufacturing industry in the mainly American driven MESA. MPDV is board member of MESA Europe.

 

Open Industry 4.0 Alliance

Since 2020 MPDV is a member of the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance. The approximately 40 members of the Alliance are committed to an open ecosystem and are committed to ensuring interoperability between systems. This is to ensure that the solutions of the members can communicate directly with each other.

 

Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF)

The main aim of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), formerly known as the Singapore Manufacturers' Association, is to champion the Singapore manufacturing sector. They represent the interest of the Singapore manufacturing community in order to drive its competitiveness and sustainable growth through serving industry-specific needs.

 

SIRIM Berhad

SIRIM Berhad is recognised the world over as a global research and standards development organisation. It is focused on discovering and developing new technologies to help Malaysian small and medium businesses to compete better through quality and innovation and to improve in the manufacturing, technology and services sectors. SIRIM is one of the nine founding members of the Global Research Alliance (GRA). Besides, it is also the secretariat of the World Association of Industrial and Technological Organisations (WAITRO). As the national standards development agency, SIRIM plays an active role in international standards development.

 

Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM)

The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) is Malaysia's premier economic organisation. Singapore Precision Engineering and Technology Association (SPETA)

The Singapore Precision Engineering and Technology Association (SPETA) is a trade association representing locally registered companies engaged in precision manufacturing as well as in providing services related to the precision engineering and technology industry. SPETA and MPDV are actively engaged in educational activities regarding Digital Manufacturing Management / Smart Factory / Industry 4.0 in the ASEAN Precision Engineering field.
