What is the World Day Smart Factory?
On September 15, we celebrate the World Day Smart Factory — a day we launched to increase visibility of digitalization and create greater understanding. Many digital processes are not visible in our everday life but have nonetheless a significant impact, in particular when it comes to digitalization in production and manufacturing.
Focus on manufacturing
For one day, this often neglected, but central part of digitalization takes the spotlight. After all, our life is more efficient, resource-friendly, and sustainable with smart technologies — even if we cannot see them.
We want to spark interest and share knowledge:
- with companies looking to go digital
- with educational institutions teaching tomorrow's skills
- with everyone in society actively shaping the digital future.
It all starts with a genuine curiosity — and this is exactly what we intend to do on the World Day Smart Factory: Sparking interest!
