KPIs are an important tool to keep track of complex scenarios in production. The OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) has emerged as the most important KPI in the Smart Factory. Other KPIs such as capacity utilization, occupancy rate, scrap rate or technical efficiency are also widely used.
These indicators can be calculated completely automatically with the collected machine data by using the mApp Machine Performance KPIs. The mApp uses for this purpose machine status changes, recorded quantities, and the assignment of this data to machines or workplaces.
The mApp Machine Performance KPIs features tabular displays and graphical charts that you can configure according to your needs.
The mApp can also analyze mean time metrics such as Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time Between Repair (MTBR), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time To Set-up (MTTS).
KPIs help you to see instantly how good your machine performance is currently running or has been in the past.
KPIs based on current shop floor data are a reliable basis for decisions on how to optimize the utilization of existing machines. Data-driven decisions on new acquisitions can then be prioritized.
The mApp Machine Performance KPIs is part of the Resource Management category of HYDRA X.
The mApp uses data of the Virtual Production Reality (ViPR) of MPDV’s Manufacturing Integration Platform (MIP) by MPDV.
The mApp uses data from the machine data collection for the calculation of KPIs. The calculated KPIs can e displayed in graphical overviews. MPDV also offers the following mApps:
