Producing rejects is bad. But it is even worse not to know why the quality is poor. For this purpose, many software solutions not only record quantities but also the reasons for scrap. However, analyses based on scrap reasons can become quite complex depending on the number of possible reasons and the volume of recorded production data. Nevertheless, production processes must become ever more efficient to keep up with the increasing international pressure.

The mApp AI-based Scrap Reason Analysis examines the collected scrap reasons using innovative AI algorithms. This way you can identify which failures occur when using specific combinations of production resources (machine, tool, material, article, etc.). The required data mostly derives from PDC (Production Data Collection). Identify potential fields for improvement by having the influencing factors and their combinations affecting high scrap rates displayed. You can also use the mApp to show the scrap rate over time in relation to the scrap reasons in graphical form.
