The Toyota Production System was developed 70 years ago - with paper and pencil. Imagine what this would look like if they developed it today, with today's technologies. This is STPS.
Printing digitally available data, running around and hanging it up is not one of the value adding activities.
STPS is designed to digitally support - not replace - the TPS.
We rely on:
- digital notices
- targeted to the employee without "information overflow"
- the digital recording of KPI and measures
- a chat only among the relevant employees / within the group
- the availability of life data to support the work
- the integration of any other webapps
In this way we support the employees to concentrate on their work. We avoid replacing established processes and help the management to understand the store floor remotely.
The results are, for example, the elimination of shift handover times and the motivation of employees by integrating them into communication.
